I think, and this is my opinion alone, probably, that if I'm tanking, I need to focus, therefore, skill macros defeat the purpose of that. In WoW, tanking was always my favorite role to play. As a Paladin I pretty much target a mob, hit the marking macro, run in with a Shield Lob, then hit Flash 3x to get initial aggro lock. You can mouseover via the party display just fine. The only tank macro that I use is the Shirk macro, so I don't have to target the other tank during tank swaps (replace the dots with /ac "Shirk" ): Tank macros (and Limit Break macros) belong in the trash.
